Edward Bonifant, CEO and manager of the Employee Benefits Division celebrates his 30th year with HWP Insurance on April 2, 2017. Ed began his career at HWP Insurance in 1987 when he was hired to start up the Employee Benefits Division of the agency. Under Ed’s direction, the division has grown to represent 30% of the agency’s annual sales. In 2004, Ed became an agency principal and was named CEO in 2014. “Ed’s vision to the future and commitment to upholding the agency’s founding principles of integrity; respect and global awareness are the cornerstone of HWP’s success,” stated agency president, Mike Cauley. Since Ed and Mike became managing partners in 2004, the agency has tripled in size, expanded offerings in self-funded healthcare, human resources benchmarking and quadrupled carrier representation in their three major business segments – employee benefits, commercial insurance and personal insurance.
