HWP Insurance is proud to announce a $25,000 donation in support of the Clauson Center at the Anne Arundel Community College, AACC. HWP is committed to promoting the growth and development of local programs that invest in the future of our communities. We believe investments like our partnership with Anne Arundel Community College reflect the three basic tenets of HWP: respect, innovation, and collaboration.
The Clauson Center opened January 2022 and is dedicated to training students within the Anne Arundel Community to meet the growing need for skilled workers. Through the Clauson Center, AACC is offering an innovative program that allows students to credit their apprenticeships towards their degree with a concentration in either Small Business Management or Construction Management. By expanding their current trades programming, AACC is helping to bridge the gap for “non-traditional” students to pursue a degree while also valuing the current work experiences of the students. This new center is pivotal in Anne Arundel’s community education as well as satisfying the community’s need for skilled workers.
